GHOST SKINS
Chicago Transit Authority
Forest Park Station
Early Tuesday evening
A young white man with pock-marked skin, about 19, wearing a tan-and-green Cubs' baseball cap turned backwards, got off CTA Blue Line Train No. 86 at the Forest Park Station and made his way out into the parking lot.
An older model blue Ford Econoline E-150 van had just entered the lot and drove down to the far end.
The Pebbly-faced man glanced down at his watch. 8:05.
He watched the blue van turn left down a row of cars and followed it.
The van had been backed into a space with the headlights still on when the pebbly-faced man turned down Aisle 7.
As he got closer, the van's lights went off. The pebbly-faced man came up to the driver's side.
He stared at the lean, hard face of the man behind the wheel. The driver's Mohawk haircut gave him a fierce warrior effect as he stared back.
"You Cutter?"
"Who wants to know?"
"Savage Sam," the pebbly-face man answered.
